The 19th MIB retreat
On July 11 and 12, 2016, the 19th MIB Retreat was held to enhance scientific and personal interactions between young scientists and students. A total of 165 people including faculty members, post-docs, students, and technicians attended the meeting at Hotel Sekia. There were 17 oral presentations and 37 poster presentations, and English was used as an official language throughout the oral sessions. The meeting room was filled with excitement due to strong and productive discussions.
The award ceremony was held on July 12.

A softball tournament was unfortunately canceled due to bad weather. Seven teams including 113 people were supposed to play at Mitsuhashi play ground in Yanagawa city on July 12. Their passion is carried to the next year, which will make the tournament more exciting.
